Evaluations

Introduction

Evaluations are used in Sedrix to visualize measured data from a measuring device (whereby measuring devices are linked to a measuring points via a so-called assignment). This can be done in text form (in a table) or graphically (as a diagram). In addition, Sedrix provides various specialized visualizations (dependent on the module) alongside the “classic” tables and diagrams.
There are also “pseudo evaluations” for structuring evaluations and displaying image files, if desired (e.g. a plan for the visualization of the spatial conditions of a measuring point).

After a general introduction to how evaluations are used (adding, changing, deleting, changing the configuration of evaluations in the measuring point view), the various evaluations per module will be described.

General Information About Evaluations

Evaluations are defined or edited for a specific measuring point in the “Evaluations” tab of the edit mode of the respective measuring point.
Evaluations define in particular the data to be displayed.
This is done by selecting so-called channels which contain the data to be displayed. The data from both input channels and output channels is available for this purpose.

To enter the edit mode of the measuring point, execute the “Edit” command in the context menu (reached by by clicking on the name of the measuring point below the measuring point symbol in the top right

).

Creating an evaluation

  1. In the “Evaluations” tab in the editing mode of the measuring point, click on the button labeled “

    Add” at the bottom left.

  2. In the context menu that opens, select the type of the new evaluation.

  3. Enter the desired settings in the input mask that appears in order for the new evaluation to be created (for details, see the following explanations on the individual types).

  4. Click on “Save” to save your changes.

Important: Due to the possibility of grouping evaluations (see below), several “Add” buttons may be visible. Frames around the already existing grouping elements then make it clear to which element the respective “Add” button refers, i.e. where (in which group) a new element is added via this button.

Editing an evaluation

By default, the existing evaluations are displayed as a compact list in the “Evaluations” tab after opening the edit mode.
Proceed as follows to edit the properties of an evaluation:

    1. Click on the icon

at the end of the evaluation to be edited. Clicking on

      minimizes the evaluation again.

    2. Make the desired changes in the input mask that appears.

    3. Click on “Save” to save your changes.

Deleting an evaluation

  1. Click on the icon

at the end of the evaluation to be deleted.
The header of the evaluation is highlighted in red and the two icons

    and

    are displayed at the end.

  2. Click on

    to delete the evaluation, or

    to cancel the deletion.

  3. Click on “Save” to save your changes.

Grouping evaluations

Multiple evaluations can also be added to one of (typically) multiple tabs (registers). Evaluations combined in this way are only displayed in the measuring point view if the name of the tab containing them is clicked.

  1. First, add an evaluation of type Group .

  2. Then add one or more Register type evaluations to it:
Name the evaluations of the type “Register” in a meaningful way (these names are used to label these registers in the measuring point view!).

  3. Add the desired concrete evaluations (tables, images, etc.) within the “Register” evaluation.

  4. Click on “Save” to save your changes.

The display position of such a “group of registers/tabs” can now be changed as below as a whole.

Change the display position of an evaluation within several evaluations

The position at which an evaluation is displayed in the measuring point view is determined by the order of the evaluation definitions. This order is first determined by the order in which the evaluations are added, but can also be adjusted later using the buttons with the symbols

or
displayed at the far right of each evaluation:

  • Click on

for an evaluation that is to be displayed further down in the measuring point view.
The evaluation is now displayed one position below (unless it is already at the bottom), and accordingly also in the measuring point view (as soon as you open it again).

  • Click on

for an evaluation to be displayed in the measuring point view further up.
The evaluation is now displayed one position above (if it is not already at the top), and accordingly also in the measuring point view (as soon as you open it again).

  • Repeat this procedure until the desired sequence is reached and then click on “Save” to save your changes.

Evaluations For All Modules

The following “pseudo” evaluations are available for measuring points of all modules:

They are not used directly to display measurement data, but to structure the “actual” evaluations (that display data etc.; i.e. group and tab, see general information about evaluations), or to display image files (image).

Group and Register

The evaluations “Register” (Tab) and “Group” ( which means “Register Group”) do not serve directly to display measurement data and therefore do not represent evaluations in the actual sense, but are treated as evaluations for technical and operational reasons (“pseudo-evaluations”). Instead, they serve to combine evaluations in one or more registers, whereby the evaluations of a register are only displayed in the measuring point view when the user clicks on the name of the register.

For the use of these pseudo-evaluations see General Information on Evaluations.

"Group" evaluation

  • Used to group one or more evaluations of the type "Index" (see below)

  • Does not have a name of its own

  • Can only contain evaluations of the type "Index" (in which the actual evaluations are then created)

  • In this way, grouped indexes with their (actual) evaluations can be moved as a whole within the measuring point view

"Index" evaluation

  • Can only be placed within an evaluation of the type "Group" (see above)

  • Can (and should) receive a name; the name specified here is used to label the tab in the measuring point view

  • May contain specific evaluations of all types provided for the measuring point (which corresponds to the type of measuring point); but no index evaluations (nesting indexes is not possible).

Groups and "directly inserted" concrete evaluations are always displayed when loading a measuring point view.
If a group contains several tabs, the evaluations of the first tab (the top tab in the Edit view) are displayed directly, and the evaluations of the other tabs are displayed only after clicking on them.

Image

The (pseudo-) evaluation image allows the display of arbitrary image files in a measuring point view. This allows you to display plans or images, for example, together with other evaluations in the measuring point view. The image files must first be uploaded as a file to the measuring point, see File Storage.
This is therefore not an evaluation in the actual sense – nothing is calculated/evaluated for this, but the implementation as such allows such an image to be placed within a group and its positions to be flexibly adjusted within the other evaluations defined here.

Properties:

  • Heading
Text field for entering a name for the evaluation.

  • Filename
Dropdown menu for selecting an image file from the image filesstored in the measuring point.

The position, at which an evaluation of the type “image” is displayed in the measuring point view, can be flexibly selected – like that of the other evaluations. Move the evaluation to the desired position as explained in section “General” in Evaluations .

For a possible application, see Measuring Point Visualization.

File List

With the “file list” evaluation it is possible to display the files of a specified folder in a measuring point view as a table.

If a date is contained within the file name and it corresponds to the given model (see below), the files will be sorted and filtered in the table according to this date.
If no date can be recognized, the date of the files’ creation will be used.

The file names are given as links in the table; clicking on a name begins the download of the respective file.

Properties:

  • Folder
Text field to enter the folder (relative to the project folder) which contains the files to be shown in the file list. This file location must begin with a backslash \.
    Default: \.

  • Filter
Text field to enter the file extension which must match the files to be displayed, in the format *.<file-extension>.
    Default: *.pdf.

  • Sorting pattern
Text field to enter a string of characters for the date expected in the name of the files to be displayed, according to which the files will be sorted.
Default: yyyyMMdd_HHmmss. This means that the date consists of 4 digits for the year (yyyy), 2 digits for the month (MM) and 2 digits for the day (dd), followed by an underscore, and then by 2 digits each for the hour (HH), the minutes (mm) and the seconds (ss).
Example of a file name that fits this model:
    06_VI_A_ENG00007__20181129_185000.pdf.

  • Number of rows
Dropdown menu to select how many rows (that is, files) will be displayed when the measuring point view is loaded.
    Default: 10.

Evaluations for Tachymeter and Logger Modules

Sedrix offers the following two types of evaluations for displaying in particular the measurement data from measuring points of both the “Tachymeter” and “Logger” modules (as these are essentially identical for both modules, they are described together in the following, along with additional explanations of the differences due to the different nature of the modules):

  • Representation as table, with the two sub-types:

    • Time-value tables

    • Location-value tables

  • Representation as diagram, with the two sub-types:

    • Time-value diagrams

    • Location-value diagrams

In addition, the tachymeter module provides an evaluation called

"vector graphics" (from version 2.14).

Tables

Tables for Tachymeter and Data Logger Modules

In the measuring point view of a tachymeter or data logger measuring point, any number of tables for displaying the data of output channels can be displayed.
For tachymeter and logger data, a table is structured as follows:

  • Column 1: Time stamp

  • Additional columns: The values of the respective channel

Another column for the error code is also shown, if the table evaluation was configured so that "error codes": are output in a separate column (see the following sections, “Display error codes” dropdown menu).

Time-Value-Table

The time-value table is the standard form of a table evaluation in Sedrix, as described in the previous section. Such a table lists the measured values row by row: One row for each timestamp and one measured value per column for each row. The table can be sorted and searched according to the contents of the columns.
The measured values of the channels that are to be displayed in the table (as a column) can be configured in detail (see below).

Interactive options

  • Sorting: Clicking on the heading of a column sorts the table according to the values in this column.

  • Searching: Enter a search term into the search field in the top right above the table (incremental search).

To create a table evaluation and to define its properties – especially for which channels values should be displayed – click on the “Evaluations” tab in the edit mode of the measuring point.

Create new “Table” evaluation

To create a new “Table” evaluation click the “Add” button below and select the “Table” type.

  1. You can now enter the desired settings in the settings mask that opens:

    • Heading
Text field to specify a heading.

    • Channel 1 to Channel 10
Dropdown menu to select an output channel. The values of the channel selected under “Channel 1” appear in the 2nd column (1st column: timestamp), etc.

    • Number of rows
Dropdown menu for selecting the desired length of the table in display mode. If a certain number has been selected here, and there is more data available (in the selected period), the table is automatically wrapped to several pages. In display mode, you can “scroll” through the table using the usual controls below the table.

    • Display error codes
Dropdown menu to select the display mode of error codes

    • Timeline
Dropdown menu to select the mode how the timestamps of several output channels should be “combined”.

  2. Click on “Save” to save the changes.

Edit existing “Table” evaluation

To edit an existing “Table” evaluation click on the “Maximize” button in its row to open the evaluation settings form.

  1. Make the desired changes here (for the various input options see above).

  2. Click on “Save” to save the changes.

Location-Value Table

The location-value table table evaluation represents, so to speak, the location-value-diagram in table form.
This means that with this table type, the data is displayed in the form “Location” (column 1) against “Timestamp n” (column n).

Accordingly, the properties of location-value tables are almost identical to those of location-value diagrams. See the introductory description in the section Location-value-diagram.

Currently, up to 10 location/value pairs (geo-point-channel pairs; tachymeter) or 15 channels (logger) can be defined.

Properties of location-value tables

The following properties can be specified in the “Evaluations” tab in the Edit mode of the measuring point.

Note: The control elements for specifying the properties “Location/Value pairs” to “Measurements” described in the following are only shown by clicking on the respective “+” icons.

  • Heading
Text field to enter the name of the table, which is displayed as a heading in the measuring point view above the table.

  • Location/value pairs* (tachymeter measuring point) or channels (logger measuring point)
Dropdown menus for the selection of pairs from a measuring point ( tachymeter: geo point; this determines the location) and a channel, whose measured values are to be displayed (tachymeter), or for the selection of channels (logger).

  • Location axis

    • Title:
Text field for entering a name for the location column (can be specified from version 2.14).
      Default: “Location”.

    • Phi (tachymeter only):
Text field to enter the angle of the profile spanned by the measuring points in the original coordinate system in Gon.
For conversion of x-y coordinates of the measuring points into distances along the profile, which then serve as position coordinates (“x coordinates”).
      Default: 0 gon.

    • Offset (tachymeter only):
Text field to enter an offset for the position value. The displayed position value of a measuring point is obtained by subtracting the offset from the actual position value of the measuring point.
Default: 0 units according to the unit of the position axis.

    • Decimal places:
Text field to enter the number of decimal places for the position axis (can be specified since version 2.14). Allowed values: Integers between 0 and 4 (each inclusive).
      Default: 1 decimal place.

  • Measurements
Dropdown menus and text field or date selection element (“datepicker”) to define the times for which a column is to be displayed in the position-value table.

    • Dropdown menu selection “Absolute”: An absolute time (date + time) can be specified.

    • Relative” drop-down menu selection: The time is specified by specifying a time span (in minutes, hours or days) relative to the end time specified by the SmartFilter settings.
Currently up to 10 time points can be defined.

  • Display of error codes
Dropdown menu to select the display mode of Error Codes

  • Number of lines
Dropdown menu to select the desired length of the table in display mode. If a certain number has been selected here, and there is more data available (in the selected period), the table is automatically wrapped to several pages. In display mode, you can “scroll” through the table using the usual controls below the table.

Displaying a location-value table in the measuring point view

A location-value table is displayed in the measuring point view analogously to a time-value table, see section Time-Value Table.
An essential difference is, of course, that the title of the first column is not yet “Position” assigned under “Position axis, Title” (see above) appears (instead of a time specification as in the time-value table).

Additions to location-value tables for logger data

Since logger data contain no coordinate information, unlike tachymeter data, there is the option here to manually enter the necessary entries for the location information per channel.

Go the to the "Edit" view of the logger measuring point.

  1. Select the "Input channels" tab

  2. Click on the "Edit" icon in the channel row where you want to add coordinates

  3. Enter the desired x, y and/or z values in the corresponding columns under "Location".
If you do not enter anything, the relevant coordinate has the value 0.

Diagrams

Sedrix provides a number of display options for displaying the measurement data from data loggers or tachymeters:

  • Time-value diagrams:
The usual representation of time series – the measurement data are plotted (so to speak as “y-coordinates”) over time (as “x-coordinates”).

  • Position-value diagrams (since version 2.11):
The measurement data are plotted over a (to be defined) position coordinate for certain points in time.
It is possible to define several points in time. For each point in time there is a separate graph above the position coordinate.

From version 2.13 the user can specify a scaling factor (aspect ratio height : width) for all diagrams (default: 0.3). This factor is then taken into account when a diagram is displayed in order to calculate its dimensions depending on the screen size (or window size of the browser) so that it is visible in its entirety – without scrolling.

Time-Value Diagram

A time-value diagram is used to display time-dependent data, for example the measurement data of a sensor as a time series: The measurement data are plotted against their time stamps along the horizontal coordinate axis (as “x-coordinates”) according to their values on the vertical axis (as “y-coordinates”, so to speak).

Tachymeter and data logger modules

The time-value diagrams of these modules can be configured to a certain extent. Among other things, the data of several time series over a common time interval can be displayed in one diagram. Up to 10 so-called channels are possible here.

In the measuring point view of a tachymeter or data logger measuring point, any number of diagrams can be displayed to display the data of measuring point channels.

Each diagram is created in the measuring point editing mode as a so-called evaluation and its properties – especially for which channels values should be displayed — can be defined.
To do this, click on the “Evaluations” tab in the edit mode of the measuring point.

Create new “Diagram” evaluation

To create a new “Diagram” evaluation, click the “Add” button below and select the desired type.

  1. You can now enter the desired settings in the settings mask that opens:

  2. Click “Save” to save the changes.

Displaying a “Diagram” evaluation in the measuring point view

A diagram that graphically visualizes tachymeter or logger data is displayed in the measuring point view as follows:

  • Above the diagram:

    • On the left, the user-defined name of the diagram as heading,

    • right various buttons:

      • diagonal arrows” button: A click on this button creates a new browser tab in which only the clicked diagram is displayed (“Single-Chart-View”).
In this single view you have the possibility to zoom in the image.

    • “Refresh” button: A click on this button updates the diagram.

    • Download button: Click on this button to create an image file (see below for details).

  • Buttons for showing and hiding further information such as logbook entries and alarms (for their configuration see above)

  • The diagram itself, with one line graph for each channel displayed.

  • The legend to the graph that indicates which line color is used for which channel.

Note: If you hover the mouse over the graph of a channel and move to exactly the position of a data point, a Tooltip will show the (rounded) measurement in numerical form and the time of the timestamp, so that you can read the measurement directly from the graph instead of having to estimate it (more or less accurately) from the position in the graph.

Note: From version 2.11, tachymeter or logger diagrams can also be output as image files, see Downloading diagrams as image files.

Location-Value Diagram

In the location-value diagram the “x-axis” – or here the “ location-axis” – is not the time, but a distance along a profile, which is spanned by several measuring points.

The diagram curve is created by plotting the measured value of each point on the “y-axis” – or “value axis” – corresponding to its “position” on the profile for a certain time.
For several times there is one curve each.

The location is specified slightly differently depending on the Sedrix module:

  • Tachymeter module: The geo-points available here contain location information in a “natural way” – the location can therefore be specified here by selecting a specific geo-point and then the desired spatial coordinate.

  • Logger module: The channels that can be selected here have no location information per se. These must be assigned separately to the channels used in a location-value diagram beforehand. See the corresponding supplement below.

On the other hand, the values to be displayed for both modules are determined by selecting channels.
Currently, up to 13 location/value pairs (geo-point-channel pairs; tachymeter) or 20 channels (logger) can be defined.

Typical application examples:

  • Representation (of the temporal development) of settlements along a profile (“settlement depression”). The location coordinate here is one of the two horizontal coordinate values, or the distance along the profile (maybe considering a certain offset).

  • Display of inclinations in a borehole. Here, the vertical coordinate (depth or height) is selected as the location coordinate.

Properties of location-value diagrams

The following properties can be specified in the “Evaluations” tab in the Edit mode of the measuring point.

Note: The control elements for specifying the properties “ Location/Value Pairs” to “ Measurements” described below are only revealed by clicking on the respective “+” icons.

  • Heading
Text field to enter the name of the diagram, which is displayed as a heading in the measuring point view above the diagram.

  • Location/value pairs (tachymeter measuring point) or Channels (logger measuring point)
Dropdown menus to select of pairs from a measuring point ( tachymeter: geo point; this determines the location) and a channel, whose measured values are to be displayed (tachymeter), or for the selection of channels (logger).

  • Location axis

    • Title:
Text field to enter a name for the location axis

    • Resolve position axis by
Dropdown menus to select the space coordinate (X, Y or Z).

    • Phi (Tachymeter only):
Text field to enter the angle of the profile spanned by the measurement points in the original coordinate system in Gon.
For conversion of x-y coordinates of the measuring points into distances along the profile, which then serve as location coordinates (“x coordinates”).
      Default: 0 gon.

    • Offset:
Text field to enter an offset for the location value. The displayed location value of a measuring point is obtained by subtracting the offset from the actual location value of the measuring point.
Default: 0 units according to the unit of the location axis.

    • Decimal places:
Text field to enter the number of decimal places for the location axis (can be specified from version 2.14). Allowed values: Integers between 0 and 4 (inclusive).
      Default: 1 decimal place.

  • Value axis

    • Title: Description of the value axis

    • Value range
Dropdown menu with the two selection options

      • “Automatic”: Value range is automatically set according to the minimum or maximum value of the selected data.

      • Custom: The value range of the diagram can be limited or extended by the user by specifying a lower and an upper limit.

  • Measurements
Dropdown menus and text field or date selection (“date picker”) to define the time points for which a diagram curve in the location-value diagram should be placed.

    • Dropdown menu selection “absolute”: an absolute time point (date + time) can be specified.

    • Dropdown menu selection “relative”: the time point is specified by specifying a period of time (in minutes, hours or days) relative to the end time fixed through the SmartFilter settings.
Currently up to 10 time points can be defined.

  • Aspect ratio (height/width)*
Text field to enter the scaling factor for the graphic (from version 2.13).

  • Limits (tachymeter only)
A checkbox to determine whether or not alert limits should be displayed in the diagram.
Once the checkbox has been marked, further input masks appear to select an alert definition, along with checkboxes to determine which alert limits (of the various alert levels) should be displayed in the diagram.

Display a location-value diagram in the measuring point view

A location-value diagram is displayed in the measuring point view in the same way as a time-value diagram. See Time-Value Diagram.
An essential difference is, of course, that the title of the “x axis” is the value given under “Position axis”, “Title”(see above) (instead of a time specification as in the time value diagram).

Note: If you hover the mouse over the graph of a channel and move to exactly the position of a data point, a Tooltip will show the (rounded) measurement in numerical form along with the value of the location coordinate, so that you can read the measured value directly from the graphic, instead of having to estimate it (more or less accurately) from the position on the graph.

Further details on location-value diagrams for logger measuring points

  1. Select the “input channels” tab

  2. In the row of the channel in which coordinates are to be recorded, click on the “Edit” icon

  3. Enter the desired x, y or z values in the respective columns below “location”
If no value is entered, the coordinate has the value 0.

Vector Image

“Vector image” evaluations are evaluations for the visualization of tachymeter data, that, when analysed in Sedrix leads to vector values. These values, e.g. displacements in longitudinal and transverse direction (compared to a reference value, calculated by a corresponding function block), are displayed as arrows in the (two-dimensional) drawing plane. A image file can be stored as background for the drawing area, on which the arrows can be positioned as desired.

Up to 20 vectors can be specified in a vector image evaluation, which are then displayed as separate arrows.
For each vector to be drawn, the base point from which the arrow is drawn must be specified, along with the measuring point channels whose values are to be displayed as X-, Y- and Z-components, as well as other display parameters.

Display

The base point of each arrow that visualizes a vector is marked by a circle with a specifiable diameter.

  • The arrow is drawn from this base point, with the X- and Y-components corresponding to the most recent (in the selected SmartFilter period) readings of the selected channels.

  • The vector can be given a separate name, which can be output as a label next to the vector.

Depending on the configuration (see below), this label can also contain the value of the vector and the time stamp of the measured value. The length of the vector is output as the value (Euclidean standard, i.e. the root of the sum of the squares of the measured values for the X- and Y-components), followed by the unit.

  • If specified, the Z-component is displayed as a separate vertical arrow, whose length corresponds to the most current (in the selected SmartFilter period) measured value of the measuring point channel selected for the Z-component. This arrow for the Z-component receives no further labeling.

Procedure

To create a “Vector image” evaluation, first go to the desired measuring point (type “Tachymeter”).

  1. If you have not already done so, upload an image file that is to serve as the background for the vector image (see File storage).

  2. In the edit mode of the measuring point, add a new “Vector image” evaluation in the “Evaluations” tab.

    1. First select the desired image file for the background (see 1.).

    2. Then define the evaluation properties described in detail in the following subsection.

  3. Finally click on “Save”.

Note: The units and time stamps of the selected measuring point channels must match.

In the seismic/vibration Sedrix module, several specialized representations are available (and can be individually configured from version 2.14).

List of evaluations that can be added individually in the “seismic/vibration” module:

  • General:

    • Health data

  • Velocity measuring point:

    • Event table (velocity)

    • Peak measured values

    • Vector sums

    • KBFTi

    • Vdv

    • Dominant frequencies

    • Vibration statistics

  • Acceleration measuring point – apart from KBFTi, the same evaluations are available as for the velocity measuring point above (the details of the evaluations are of course different).

Display Measurement Data

Diagrams to display measurement data (events, background).

“Vibration” module

In the measuring point view of a velocity or acceleration measuring point, the display of the following diagrams is provided as standard:

  • Peak measured values (for x, y and z)

  • KBFti (for x, y and z)

  • Vector sums

  • Health data of the measuring device (supply, battery voltage)

Representation of a “Diagram” evaluation in the measuring point view

A diagram that graphically visualizes seismic/vibration measuring data is essentially displayed in the measuring point view like a diagram for tachymeter or logger data (see below):

*These diagrams are displayed, along with a button for single-chart view, refresh and the download of a diagram as an image file (from version 2.11), like with tachymeter or logger data.
Since only one variable is displayed per diagram, the legend that is present in tachymeter and logger diagrams is omitted here.

  • Buttons to show or hide further information such as

    • Events – always displayed

    • Mask hidden events – always displayed

    • Log entries (from version 2.11) – always displayed.

Note: From version 2.11, seismic/vibration diagrams can also be output as image files. See Download Diagrams as Image Files.

Health Data

An evaluation to display the chronological sequence of health data, supply and battery voltage.

Event Table

An “event table” evaluation lists the vibration events (“events”) that occur in the period defined by the SmartFilter in a table in the measuring point view.
The trigger time and the duration of an event are also listed along with various variables, absolute and relative to different standards. The table can be sorted and searched according to the contents of the columns.
See below for information on how to configure in detail which variables should be displayed in the table (as a column).

Interactive options:

  • Sorting: Clicking on the heading of a column sorts the table according to the data of this column.

  • Searching: Enter a search term in the search field to the right above the table (incremental search).

To create an evaluation of this type and to configure its properties – in particular which data is to be displayed – open the Edit mode of the measuring point and click on the “Evaluations” tab.

Create new “Event table” evaluation

To create a new “event table” evaluation, click on the “Add” button at the bottom and select “Event table” from the dropdown menu that opens.

  1. In the settings mask that now opens, the desired properties can be set:

    • Title
Text field to enter a title.

    • Number of rows
Dropdown menu to specify the length of the table in the display mode. If a certain number is selected here and more data is available (within the selected time period), the table is automatically broken down into multiple pages. The usual controls below the table are used to “scroll through” the table.

    • Display hidden events
Checkbox to specify whether or not hidden events should be listed in the event table.
      Default: selected.

    • Various checkboxes which are displayed by clicking on the different “+” icons:
Specify which variables should be displayed by either selecting or deselecting the respective boxes.

  2. Click on “Save” to save your changes.

Edit an existing “Event table” evaluation

To edit an existing “event table” evaluation, click on the “maximize” button in the row of the table. This opens the settings mask of the evaluation.

  1. Make the desired changes (for the different input options, see the details on creating a new event table above).

  2. Click on “Save” to save your changes.

Vibration Statistics

“Vibration statistics” can be defined as an evaluation for a vibration measuring point (from version 2.13).
This evaluation displays all vibration events in a diagram, in which the respective peak values are plotted against the frequency.

Note: If the mouse is hovered over the marker of an event, the exact peak value and exact frequency of the event (each value is rounded) is displayed as a Tooltip.

Properties of vibration statistics diagrams:

The following properties can be set in the “Evaluations” tab in the Edit mode of the measuring point.

Note: The controls for specifiying the “Frequency axis” and “Value axis”, described below, are only revealed by clicking on the respective “+” icon.

  • Title
Text field to enter a title. This is displayed above the diagram.
    Default: “Vibration statistics”.

  • Aspect ratio (Height/width)
Text field to enter the aspect ratio of the diagram – height to width.
    Default: 0,3.

  • Frequency axis

    • Title
Text field to enter a label for the frequency axis (horizontal axis).
      Default: Frequency.

    • Value range
Dropdown menu with the following two options

      • “Auto”: The value range is set automatically according to the minimal or maximal value of the selected data.

      • “User defined”: The value range of the diagram can be limited or extended by the user by specifying a lower or upper limit.

  • Value axis

    • Title
Text field to enter a label for the value axis (vertical axis).
      Default: Empty.

    • Value range
Dropdown menu with the following two options

      • “Auto”: The value range is set automatically according to the minimal or maximal value of the selected data.

      • “User defined”: The value range of the diagram can be limited or extended by the user by specifying a lower or upper limit.

  • All channels in one diagram
Checkbox. If not active, a separate diagram is displayed for each coordinate axis (x, y, z).
    Default: Active.

  • DIN 4150-3
Checkbox. If active, the diagram displays the peak value curve according to this standard.
    Default: Not active.

  • F-Circulaire 86
Checkbox. If active, the diagram displays the peak value curve according to this standard.
    Default: Not active.

  • BS 7385-2
Checkbox. If active, the diagram displays the peak value curve according to this standard.

Download Diagrams as Image File

Output of vibration measurement diagrams as image files (from Version 2.11)

To create a file image whose content is the representation of a particular diagram, simply click on the “Download” button

to the right above the diagram in question.
A dialog will appear in which you can enter the following information:

  • File names
Text field to enter the image file to be created.
Default: The name of the evaluation/diagram.
The extension .png is automatically added to the name defined here.

  • Width
Text field to specify the width of the image file in pixels.

  • Height
Text field to specify the height of the image file in pixels

  • File format:
Dropdown menu to select the file format, with the options “Jpg”, “Png”, “Bmp”, “Tiff” and “Svg”.

Finish the export by clicking on the “Export” button.

Download Event Tables as CSV File

CSV Export of Event Table

The data of an Event table evaluation: can be exported as a CSV file exactly as they are displayed in the measuring point view.

Proceed as follows to export the data of an event table:

  1. Switch to the measuring point view of the measuring point whose event data you wish to export.

  2. If required, use the SmartFilter settings to select the desired time period for the data being exported.

  3. If required, configure the event table by clicking on the “cogwheel” button above the event table and place or remove checks in the checkboxes by the various variables. This specifies which variables should be displayed in the table and which should then be exported.

  4. Then click on the “Download” button above the event table whose data is to be exported, to start the export procedure.
Sedrix writes the data to a file with the name Events_Csv.csv.
In Windows: In the dialog that is shown, select whether the file should be saved or opened in a suitable program (usually Excel).
In MacOS: The file will be saved directly to the Downloads folder (according to the browser settings).

Note: The abbreviation “CSV” stands for “Comma Separated Values”. A file in this format consists of a header containing the names of the columns, followed by a line for each measured value, whereby the individual entries of a line are separated by a comma (or more precisely, a semicolon).
